Set of 4 Antique Carved Golden Oak Arts & Crafts Kitchen Dining Chairs Vintage

  

Collection from Inwardleigh, nr Okehampton, Devon. This is for a beautiful Set of 4 Antique Carved Oak "Arts & Crafts" Kitchen/Dining Chairs. In a Golden Oak with a registration number clearly imprinted to the undersides of the chair frames (Rd No 537821) which dates to 1909, in the heart of the Arts & Crafts period, and these chairs were most likely produced at that time or shortly after. Each chair also imprinted "2223" to the inside of the back frames.

Lovely backs have 4 shaped slats and beautiful carved scroll style top rails with pierced design. Front legs incorporate shaped feet, traditional'H' shaped cross supports. Seat pads have been recovered at some point in a terracotta coloured fabric with a gold and beige design. Not a professional job but serviceable and in good condition. However, they are lift out seat pads so relatively easy to re-cover if preferred. They have webbing and hessian style covering to the undersides. Minor marks from age and use. Light cosmetic nick to top left finial on 1 chair.
