Green Herman Miller Vintage Eames Upholstered DSR Dining Side Shell Chair. This is an example of original Herman Miller Eames white side shell chair, with a snooker green fabric from Alexander Girard, attached to a used chrome DSR base. This green DSR chair is a perfect colour if you want a more earthy, natural tones to add to your living room, not to mention how comfortable it is to sit on! The Eames shell series chairs really do not need any introduction. With early prototypes beginning in the late 1940's, production began on the Eames' dream of'chairs for the masses' in 1950 with the arm and then the sides later in 1952/53.

The original and vintage fiberglass chairs were so versatile and so modern that they only increase in popularity as the years go by. Fiberglass originals always have a base colour and gorgeous'visible' fibers in the shell itself. Upholstered version were introduced by Herman Miller a little later on using fabrics and textiles designed by the esteemed designer Alexander Girard. This Green upholstered DSR chair is in used condition and does appear to have a crack on the shell.

The fabric is a little worn out, which is normal with its age, however, cleaning it thoroughly will help maintain its condition. The chair comes with a used DSR base, still in good condition. Fabric colour may be slightly lighter in person; we recommend further images be requested before purchasing. The original Alexander Girard fabric for Herman Miller is in great condition with no defects and no lifting.

Eames Shell Chairs vary from 1 to 5 stars for investment.
