George III Set of 6 Mahogany Upholstered Dining Chairs C1820. Late George III period, set of 6 mahogany upholstered dining chairs, Circa 1820.

This quality set of dining chairs feature a well figured bar back panel top rail, over four carved splats, overstuffed seats covered in camel coloured woven fabric, raised on square tapering legs supported by H-stretchers. A handsome set of chairs in good condition and very much ready for use. These chairs measure approximately 95.5 cm (38) tall, 48. Cm (19") wide, and 46.5 cm (18") deep.

The seat height is approximately 47.5. Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. Chairs are in a good condition commensurate with their age, and are structurally sound and sturdy. There are some minor marks and blemishes to the frames. A few old worm holes to the hidden underside of the seat rails, which as a matter of precaution have all been treated but do not affect the structural integrity in any way. No obvious signs of repairs or damage. Good polish, good even colour though a couple of the rears of the chairs have a little fading. Upholstery structurally good, the covers have a few very minor small marks. Very serviceable and ready for everyday use. As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc. This item can be be viewed at my workshop in Stainburn, near Otley (Leeds), LS21, by appointment only.
