The limed oak finish is designed to accentuate the oak grain and therefore items with deeper grain structures will appear whiter in appearance compared to pieces with shallower oak grain structures.

This is because the deeper oak grains will hold more of the white wax that is hand rubbed into it to get the desired limed oak effect. This is perfectly normal and the furniture is designed this way and each item oozes individual character. You can't say fairer than that.
