Georgian Chippendale Elm Pair of Upholstered Country Dining Chairs C1780. George III period, Chippendale style, pair of English elm framed upholstered country dining chairs, Circa 1780. These period chairs with camel top rail, pierced splat.

Over drop in upholstered seats covered in damask patterned fabric. All raised on square tapered front legs, and splayed rear legs supported by H-stretcher. Solid elm frames with peg construction. These quality period country chairs, have only a few odd minor flaws but otherwise in a good condition and very much ready for use.

These chairs measure approximately 95.5 cm (38) tall, 52.5. Cm (21") wide, and 49.5 cm (19") deep. The seat height is approximately 45. Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. In a good condition commensurate for their age, and are structurally sound and sturdy.

No obvious signs of repairs, and no significant damage. Some minor marks and odd small scuffs to the frames. Upholstery in a good condition. A few old minor old worm holes, typical of old elm furniture, but fully treated, and with no impact on the sturdiness of the chairs.

As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc. This item can be be viewed at my workshop in Stainburn, near Otley (Leeds), LS21, by appointment only.

This is NOT a regular box courier type service. As such deliveries take time to be collected, scheduled and booked in. Where possible the courier will try to accommodate specific date and time requirements, but this is not always possible.

Please consider before purchasing that the Man & Van couriers I use are one man or small operations, and are not able to offer the service that big national couriers do. However they rarely break items and know how to handle these items, they will try to accommodate your requirements where possible, they will also help lift items into your location, and sometimes they may even be able to deliver on evenings and weekends. Though please be aware they may get held up in traffic and be late, and sometimes even have to reschedule deliveries. They are on the road constantly and major traffic jams are now very common place.
